You’re obviously a good writer but if you don’t know where you fit in, it may be because you haven’t written enough yet. Or it may be that you’re not a niche writer but are happier writing on many subjects, in many genres.

J.K. Rowling was a genre writer when she wrote the Harry Potter books but she branched out into other genres, I suspect because she’d had enough of being in that particular box.

It’s comfortable hanging out in a genre but it’s not necessarily where you need or even want to be. You have to decide that for yourself.
