In your original comment, you dismiss me by talking about me in third person, as if I were secondary to your brilliant analysis of my piece, which you seemed to think needed more study, since I didn’t bring up the dark side of our history — which would have been completely out of place in the piece I wrote.

My feelings aren’t hurt. That would be silly. I’ve been writing opinions for 30 years, and I’ve got an extremely tough hide. It’s your pathetic attempts at mansplaining that piss me off and tell me any more of this is a waste of time.
