Yes, writing for more than one publication is like writing for several magazines. We want our work to be out there everywhere, if possible, and we want it to be included in the premier pubs. But the problem with the big guys is they’re so popular we end up waiting many days before our stories appear. Sometimes we wait only to be rejected. I admit I’m too impatient for that most of the time.

But I’ll be blunt: My reason for creating my own publication stems from reading too much crap on Medium. I envision a boutique pub where writers can feel good about being side by side with other good writers and where the roster is small enough so that they won’t have to wait days or weeks to be published. I also like having personal interactions with writers, and I’m an editor at heart.
