Yes, I’ve had these thoughts, too — that we’re really a writing community writing for each other, unless we go outside to draw in readers. I don’t know how I feel about that, since I’ve been looking for a good online writing community and feel welcome and comfortable here.

But I worry, too, that I’m TOO comfortable and I’m not pushing myself enough, satisfied to get even this little attention. That I’m writing for them and not for me.
