Yes, it dragged in spots, Bror was too much of a dick to be redeemable, and Redford was horribly miscast as Denys, but the cinematography was breathtaking and very nearly a character all on its own.

I can’t imagine anyone else in that role but Meryl. Every scene she was in was a gift and she was in nearly every scene. So I can forgive the flaws and just revel in the beauty of it. There aren’t many movies where I’m willing to do that.
