Yes, I agree, but it would have been a much longer story and I wouldn’t have found a single thing to laugh at.
Those words are far more than a bore — they’re offensive. And that’s exactly why they’re used the way they are. They want to shock us, to hurt us, to diminish us, to put us in the place they think is solely and rightfully ours — which is down under some jerk’s foot.
I’ve been involved in plenty of arguments against them, and it’s surprising how many women see nothing wrong with them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard, from women, that the C-word is used in Great Britain all the time. It’s nothing.
It’s a long, long conversation we need to have, but probably not from me. I’ve run out of energy. I’m on R&R. This is the best I can do — for now.
