Words from my own heart! I’m past the point of hurting feelings by thinking or saying the same. My god, enough already! It makes Medium look like a sleazy content mill, and the worst part is I’m sure Medium encourages it. It brings in more $5/month writers and I wonder if that’s their main goal.

Except for the big name pubs and writers, they don’t seem to put good writing at the top of their heap. Even in curation I see some mediocre stuff, while exceptionally good writing goes unrewarded.

I slide right past the stories about making big money or how to get curated or any other distraction from plain good writing, but the headlines are screaming everywhere I look.

It’s their venue but I keep waiting for Medium to get professional and drop that shit. I belong to a couple of binder groups on Facebook that look down on Medium writing because of things like this. I’m getting so I don’t even mention that I write here. Sad.
