This is the 2020 election, not 2016. Whatever Hillary did isn’t in the picture now. This is about Democrats against Republicans and we’re in the fight of our lives. Bernie is Bernie and he’s not my candidate of choice. He never will be. You will never convince me that Bernie is that close to sainthood while the others are devils and demons. Yet that’s your argument — word for word from the 2016 campaign, regurgitated into 2020.

The entire Democratic party is not the enemy, the Republicans are, yet your entire diatribe is against a party you obviously know nothing about. You insult the many hardworking Dem politicians working against the most corrupt system we’ve ever had to face, and you’re smug in your insults — as if Bernie Sanders is the only pure candidate, and every single Democrat needs to be taken down and taught a lesson.

That’s wrong-headed and hateful. It’s ignorant and dangerous. It’s the surest way to another devastating loss, yet nothing changes. Bernie isn’t the only viable candidate. He isn’t the Democrats’ savior.

We have to be Democrat-strong if we’re going to defeat the GOP. I know what I’m going to do. I can’t be responsible for what you and the rest of the Bernie supporters are going to do, but don’t think we’re going to thank you if you continue to fight against Democrats. And don’t think we’re going to join you, either.
