Thanks, Jun. As to your last point: After my son graduated from U-C Berkeley he asked me at his graduation dinner if I ever regretted staying home to take care of him and his sisters, knowing that my writing had to take a back seat for so long. I didn’t even have to think about it. I loved being a stay at home mom, and the truth is, I didn’t have the requisite ambition to go all out, anyway. I told him that, too. It wasn’t them, it was me. My choice. And, no, I really have no regrets about that.

Now, at 81, I regret I didn’t work harder at it. I could have worked harder, but I didn’t. But again, I’m doing what I love to do, and fame and fortune were never my thing, anyway!
