Shannon, I saw your title earlier when I was on my way to something else, and thought I would go back and read it later. But I couldn't remember where I had seen it, so I typed your name into the search line on Medium and this story didn't come up!

I knew I hadn't been seeing things, so I looked on Facebook. Nope.

Finally, I went to Twitter and that's where I found it. So why didn't it show up on your Medium page? I have no idea why.

Again, I know you don't like Substack, but the longer I'm there the happier I am. There is some amazing writing going on there and I'm following many, many writers I admire.

The ones making money have brought their own email lists with them and are charging monthly fees for their work. You might consider using it as an adjunct to your Medium work, cross-posting at both places.

They have a great support system and are open to ideas--the way I imagine Medium was at the beginning, before they got wonky.
