Reading this, my heart started pounding and I felt like I was having a panic attack. All those old feelings coming back. Yes, we smiled too much, trying to be polite. Because that’s who we thought we should be.

I would love to say we’ve come a long way (baby), but the truth is, we’re moving backward. Again.

It’s going to take a female contingent younger than my generation to finally get the job done. I welcome their efforts, support them without question, and I hope to hell I’ll still be here to celebrate their successes.
