LOL. The Upper Boonies aren't for everyone, that's for sure! I personally love it and dread the thought of ever having to go back to the city to live. It's probably a good thing we don't all want to live in the same place!

Seney is in the middle of nowhere but the Wildlife Refuge is a treasure. I grew up in Detroit but spent every summer of my growing-up life at my grandmother's in the Keweenaw Peninsula. We had to drive the dread 'Seney Stretch', which is a straight 25 mile drive across a swamp with nothing to see, not even a curve in the road. It had magical properties--it took FOREVER!

BTW, I saw what you did there with that word 'assault'. Funny!
