I’m guilty of using OCD for an excuse for my fussiness — straightening towels on the rack or pictures on the wall and wanting symmetry everywhere — but it’s important for people like you who have actually experienced debilitating OCD to make us aware of what it is and how it can affect the lives of those who actually have it.
You didn’t say what made it finally go away. What did you have to do to get the the point where you were doing the things you never thought you could? Or was it the healing of your brain that made it go away? It’s a fascinating topic, so please don’t feel you have to hide it any longer. Thanks.
