I’ll argue with you on this one, Marcus. Writer’s Block is very real. It doesn’t mean you can’t write, it means you can’t write in a way that satisfies you.

Writer’s Block means lots of false starts, lots of recriminations, lots of meandering (as you did here), only to end up with nothing anywhere near the dream.

Telling writers that Writer’s Block is an excuse is just false. Writing just to be writing doesn’t cure a block, it only give a few moments of respite. We’re blocked when we want to write something ambitious or brave or awesome and it just won’t translate on the keyboard. It comes with the creative territory.

No writer I know believes there’s no such thing. We’ve all been victims. Yes, we go on writing and usually come out on the other side, but none of us have ever said it doesn’t exist. It absolutely does.
