I think for most now that term, “religious right”, doesn’t describe conservative Christians, but is a descriptor for the many Christian groups dedicated to anti-abortion, anti-gay, anti-Muslim causes.

Their leaders, like Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell Jr., Franklin Graham, etc., attack anyone who doesn’t agree with them, push for things like prayer in school, tell voters to vote Republican, including for Donald Trump, and rail against any Democrat who won’t let them push their religion down everyone’s throats via the government.

That doesn’t sound like you. If you think I’ve misused the term, I’m sorry, but those groups seem to think it describes them perfectly. I have no respect for them. I’m not sorry about that.
