I know. It’s really disheartening that we women are still fighting not just for our rights but for RECOGNITION. We are the people we are. Our gender will not, cannot, should not hold us back.

I want a woman as president, too, but if our candidate is male I want to make sure he understands how necessary it is to bring as many women into his campaign, into the West Wing, into cabinet positions as he possibly can.

I don’t have a favorite yet, of either gender, and I won’t until early next year, when it’s closer to the primaries.

What happened to Hillary was outrageous. I wrote about her often throughout her campaign and during the aftermath and I’m reworking one of those pieces today to make it current. Because she got shafted. She didn’t deserve the attacks against her and we need to be reminded of that. She should have won. Plain and simple. And women should have been the ones to get her elected. Too many failed her. They brought us a monster, instead.
