I got Stephen King’s book on writing as a gift, even though I wasn’t a King fan, and I didn’t read it right away. But once I did — wow! I’ve read numerous books on writing but his was one of the very best. I love that you got a letter from someone that close to him. I imagine when I was that young I would have been miffed that it didn’t come from him, but how kind she was to take time out of a surely busy day to respond to you! Loved this!
