Holy CHRIST, that was good! I’m taking your advice and not taking your advice, unless it’s really good advice that reads more like guidelines and not, you know, advice.

I’m heading over to Twitter right now to lurk among those people who sound like my people but who won’t even know I’m there until I know for sure they’re not going to hit me.

I’ve known a dozen of those Robert Olen Butlers (not personally, of course) and I’ve been lucky enough to watch Elmore Leonard play the Ron Carlson role, sending daggers across the podium, sometimes with just a flick of a booted toe.
