Great article. I couldn't agree more with everything! I remember a long-ago movie mag devoting an entire article to Barbara Stanwyck's bravery for admitting she was forty. I seem to remember that no other actress followed her lead. Most of them were perfectly content with lying about their age.

Sophia Loren still looks great, though I think she could go a little easier on the eyeliner now.

Jane Fonda is stunning at 83, but admits to a whole lot of work. Still, they're both vivacious and energetic and fabulous role models.

I only wish Marilyn had given herself the chance to grow old along with them.
