Female wisdom is ancient and has been widely chronicled, but male domination is also ancient, and so far nobody, including many enlightened males, have been able to figure out how to change that.

While societies may have tempered that need to dominate it hasn't and won't ever eradicate it. I'm grateful whenever I read a piece like yours, but I have no illusions about it making much of a difference. I don't say that to throw cold water on your beautiful words, but to put light on the reality that we live in a well-designed, highly motivated patriarchal society and the benefactors are not likely to go peacefully.

Women may be all the delightful things you stress here, but we're also warriors. We fight back and we fight hard.

I wrote a fluff piece today about hanging clothes out on the line, but tomorrow I may write a vicious piece about politics or religion or society in general. Will I scare anybody? We both know I won't. But my voice will be out there, loud and proud, and other women's voices will be out there, and in time we'll be hard to ignore.

We're getting there. We've never stopped fighting. Yes, there's no doubt we're different but, I'm sorry, we don't need more analyzing. We need an army.
