Brilliant! I have never read a story this long on Medium before and I almost didn’t read this one, given a “39 minute read”!! But you had me at “self-loathing”, and then at Googling to keep the loathing alive. And then at all that other stuff until I got to the end and wanted more.

But mainly it was because I was just telling someone that Medium rarely cottons to long pieces and there you were, featured on the front page. At 39 minutes.

But if anybody deserves to be there featured on Medium’s front page with a long, long piece it’s you, dear Mandy. I would follow you anywhere.
