All writing is communication. If you can concentrate on that and not on how your audience will receive you, you’re one step ahead of writer angst.

Write your piece as if your audience is you. When you’re satisfied with it, they will be, too. (One caveat: We’re never completely satisfied with what we write. That’s how we grow as writers. But at some point, if we want reach audiences, we have to let it go. At that moment, it’s the best we can do.)
